IndyCar back to Kentucky?

As you may or may not know the Kentucky NASCAR Xfinity/ARCA race weekend is moving to Las Vegas to pair up with the 2nd NASCAR Cup weekend Las Vegas is getting.

That leaves a hole in Kentucky's schedule and they would like to fill it.

Rumor has it that SMI, who owns both Kentucky and Las Vegas, have approached IndyCar about possibly coming back to Kentucky.

When Kentucky got their NASCAR Cup race they kicked IndyCar down the road after the 2011 race, so now they want them back? The inaugural NASCAR Cup race was held when? You guessed it – on July 9, 2011 and was won by Kyle Busch.
