James Davison in for Bourdais

UPDATE Multiple outlets are reporting that James Davison will replace the injured Sebastien Bourdais in the No. 18 Dale Coyne Racing Honda for next weekend's 101st Running of the Indianapolis 500. The 30-year-old Australian is a veteran of two Indianapolis 500 starts scoring a best finish of 16th in 2014 driving for KV Racing Technology. Davison also has a previous relationship with Dale Coyne Racing having run the Mid-Ohio and Sonoma rounds in 2013 in addition to the 2015 Indy 500.

Bourdais suffered multiple fractures to his pelvis and a fracture to his right hip in a vicious qualifying crash yesterday. Davison reportedly will not qualify the No. 18 car today, and we expect him to turn his first laps in Friday's final Carb Day practice session. Should he not make a qualifying run today, Davison will start the race last.
