Chevy has potent engine upgrade for Indy 500
Has Chevy been sandbagging all month at Indy? We believe so.
When we spoke to Roger Penske on the grid at Barber (below) and we discussed Honda's apparent Indy 500 advantage and his rely was, "it really depends on what motor you have for the race."
After practice Monday Simon Pagenaud hinted Chevy has made good on Roger's promise, "We made a lot of changes Sunday night, mostly on bodywork, because it’s a different package than qualifying, and a new engine to go for the race. It’s a weapon, that engine, to put in there. They put a new engine that’s really strong. Chevy did a tremendous job."
Game on Honda!
