Fernando Alonso will drive an IndyCar for the first time on May 3rd and then of course the Indy 500. Ever wonder what the main differences are between a current F1 and IndyCar?

F1 has two energy recovery systems one recovering enegy from braking (MGU-K) and the other energy from the exhaust (MGU-H). An F1 engine is very complicated and expensive but raises fuel economy. Do fans care about fuel economy of a race car? Of course not.
