MotoGP News: Marc Marquez wins Qatar Sprint Race

Factory Ducati rider Marc Marquez won his 4th straight MotoGP Sprint race Saturday ahead of Sunday’s feature race around the Lusail International Circuit.

Marquez led his younger brother Alex who took 2nd on his Gresini customer Ducati, 1.577s behind.

Earlier in the day, Marc Marquez won the pole for the Qatar GP.

Franco Morbidelli, who was fastest in practice Friday, was third for the VR46 Ducati team behind the Marquez brothers, 3.988s behind Marc Marquez.

Spaniard Fermin Aldeguer was a strong 4th in the 2nd Gresini Ducati, 4.369s behind Marquez.

Fabio Quartararo rounded out the top-5 for Yamaha, the best placed non-Ducati rider.

Marquez’s teammate Francesco Bagnaia could only manage eighth following a disastrous qualifying crash.
