F1 News: Madrid’s new Formula 1 circuit to be called “Madring”
The new Madrid Formula One circuit set to host the Spanish Grand Prix from 2026 to 2035 will be known as Madring, organizers said on Monday.
The 5.47km part-street layout will be around the IFEMA exhibition center, with easy access by rail and metro from the city and nearby Barajas airport.

Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya currently hosts the Spanish Grand Prix and has a contract for one more race after this season.
So far, Madrid has only hosted the Spanish Grand Prix on nine occasions, all at the Jarama Circuit, with the first race held in 1968 and the last one in 1981.

Press Release
The Madrid circuit, where the Spanish Formula 1 Grand Prix will be held from 2026 to 2035, already has a name: MADRING, a name that goes beyond the track and is an invitation to enjoy a unique experience in an exciting city and region.
Madrid is the first major European capital to host an F1 Grand Prix, hence the name of the circuit, MADRING, contains its spatial identification, in combination with the word “ring”, which is a way of referring to the tracks in the world of F1. This achieves a modern and current designation, aligned with the new concept of the show circuit, in the style of Abu Dhabi, Miami and Las Vegas, where the event itself goes beyond the limits of the track and invites the entire local society to experience it. Because indeed, Madrid will be impregnated with multiple activities and entertainment initiatives linked to F1 before, after and during the celebration of the Grand Prix.
MADRING is also distinguished by its strategic location in the heart of a territory that stands out for its lifestyle, its culture, its leisure offer and its safety. Located in the IFEMA MADRID-Valdebebas area, five minutes from the airport and in the heart of the city, the circuit guarantees unprecedented connectivity and can be accessed by bus, train and metro without the need to use a private vehicle.

Why MADRING?
Generally, we usually refer to F1 circuits by the name of the town where they are located: Monza, Imola, Interlagos, Spa, Silverstone, Miami, Las Vegas… But its name is rarely used correctly. That is why a short and direct identity is sought, with reference to the place where it is celebrated; easy to remember, and that does not need translation.
In short, not just a name, but a genuine, recognizable and differentiating brand for a modern and active audience such as F1.
A recognizable brand
The MADRING brand is distinguished by its modern and distinguishable design aligned with the style of Formula 1. The curved lines that make up its identity mimic the curves of a circuit and bring dynamism and modernity. The movement of the letters conveys the idea of racing, excitement and speed. The colors chosen are mainly red, which is the color of passion, of F1, of the Community of Madrid, combined with yellow, which makes a nod to the Spanish flag.
MADRING will have its own communication channels
MADRING will also offer a digital communication infrastructure, with the creation of its own channels through platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, X, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn and Spotify, and its own website where relevant and up-to-date content will be shared on everything that happens around the event and the world of F1, facilitating interaction with the public. In addition, you will be able to keep up to date with the latest news in terms of ticket sales, VIP areas, news or merchandising.
The new name not only reinforces the commitment to quality and consistent content, with its own personality and tone, but also sets a standard in communication and networking that offers amateurs and professionals a high-level informative and entertainment experience.
MADRING is not just a racing circuit, it is an invitation to live a unique and complete experience in Madrid.
