TV News: IndyCar St. Pete TV Rating Soars on FOX vs. NBC
Fox pulled 1.4 million viewers for the opening round of the 2025 NTT IndyCar Series – the Firestone GP of St. Pete – up 45% from last year’s race on NBC.
The broadcast peaked at 1.8 million viewers at the end when the NASCAR broadcast was starting and NASCAR fans were tuning into FOX.
Historically, FOX TV ratings dwarf NBC and this will be true all year for IndyCar.
The viewership result ranks as the most watched non-Indianapolis 500 NTT IndyCar Series race on any network since 2011. The race was won by defending IndyCar Champion Alex Palou
