F1 Rumor: Red Bull poaches 60 personnel from competitors

If rumors are to be believed, the Oracle Red Bull F1 team has gone on a hiring spree and poached 60 personnel from other F1 teams.

According to de Telegraaf, Red Bull has reportedly signed 60 personnel from rival teams ahead of the 2025 F1 season.

The 2024 F1 season saw many transfers, including drivers and high-profile staff looking to get a big pay raise that they could not get at Red Bull because of the cost cap regulations.

As a result, the energy drink-based F1 team was hit with huge blows after chief technical officer Adrian Newey announced his departure for a pay raise.

Sporting director Jonathan Wheatley followed in his footsteps to join Audi for a pay raise.

Will Courtenay, the head of strategy, is also set to join McLaren from 2026, again for a pay raise.

Earlier, team principal Christian Horner confirmed that his team will prioritize internal promotion to fill the gaps, with Max Verstappen’s race engineer, Gianpiero Lambiase, being promoted to head of racing.

With the three big salary employees gone, Red Bull was able to poach 60 employees from its rivals to strengthen the team’s core, especially with the crucial 2026 season in sight.

60 employees vs. 3 bigwigs. Red Bull made out on the deal.

Is that why Team Boss Christian Horner looks so happy in the photo above?
