The National Motorsports Press Association announced on Sunday that Weber passed away on December 13, 2024, yet we are just finding out about it now. He is survived by his wife Teresa.

“The National Motorsports Press Association is saddened to learn of the passing of former NASCAR broadcaster and pit reporter Bill Weber,” the organization announced.

Weber graduated from Butler University in 1979, spent many years working for TNT, NBC and ESPN. He served as host of a pre-race show and worked in the pits before eventually assuming lap-by-lap duties in 2004.

After his broadcasting career ended in 2009, Weber worked as a magician in Florida.

Here are some of Bill Webers most iconic race calls.

He was so beloved and so well respected, he even got a cameo role in the NASCAR sports-comedy film Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.

No word from his family yet on the cause of death.
