Practice Groups
There will be three Practice Groups for the 2025 Clash at Bowman Gray.
Vehicles will be assigned Practice Groups based on their 2024 NASCAR Cup Series Owner Points.
Vehicles that finished 1st, 4th, 7th, 10th, 13th, 16th, 19th, 22nd, 25th, 28th, 31st and 34th will be assigned to Practice Group 3.
Vehicles that finished 2nd, 5th, 8th, 11th, 14th, 17th, 20th, 23rd, 26th, 29th, 32nd and 35th will be assigned to Practice Group 2.
Vehicles that finished 3rd, 6th, 9th, 12th, 15th, 18th, 21st, 24th, 27th, 30th, 33rd and 36th will be assigned to Practice Group 1.

- Each group will have two 8-minute practice sessions.
- For the final practice/qualifying session each group will stage in pit area then be split into two groups (6/7 cars each) in points order position 1st – 6th first followed by position 7th – 13th per the chart above.
- Each session will be 4 minutes to set a fast time.
- Once you return to the pit area your qualifying session is complete.
