Automotive News: First C8 Corvette ZR1 Sells At Barrett Jackson
The first production 2025 C8 Corvette ZR1 has been auctioned off for $3.7 million at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2025 by Rick Hendrick.
The money for the 2025 C8 ZR1 VIN 001 will be donated to charity, benefitting the Red Cross, with all auction fees waived.
Hendrick has bid and won a number of Corvette VIN 001 cars.

General Motors unveiled the 2025 C8 ZR1 in July, the fastest, most powerful production Corvette in the nameplate’s history.

The twin-turbocharged 5.5L V8 LT7 gasoline engine, is tuned to deliver a blistering 1,064 horsepower at 7,000 RPM and 828 pound-feet of torque at 6,000 RPM.
The beast can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.3 seconds, and it boasts a top speed of over 230 mph.
The 2025 1LZ coupe will start at $174,995. The most expensive model is the Corvette ZR1 3LZ convertible, starting at $195,995.
