IMSA Rolex 24 Hour 20: #7 Penske Porsche still out front
With 4-hours to go in the 63rd running of the Rolex 24 at Daytona, Laurens Vanthoor held the #7 Penske Porsche out front by more than 8-seconds over the #24 RLL BMW driven by Kevin Magnussen.

The IMSA timing and scoring (T&S) is all messed up because one screen has Laurens Vanthoor currently in the #7 Porsche, but another report has Felipe Nasr at the wheel.
The #24 BMW appears to be the only GTP car that can challenge the Penske Porsche juggernaut for the over victory. It’s either Kevin Magnussen at the wheel or Dries Vanthoor – again the IMSA T&S is a mess.
The #6 Penske Porsche with Mathieu Jaminet (or is it Matt Campbell?) at the wheel runs a close third, less than 2-seconds behind the #24 BMW if you can believe the IMSA T&S.
Colin Braun is a distant 4th in the #60 MSR Acura, 53-seconds behind, but another report has Tom Blomqvist at the wheel as we pull our hair out.
Gianmaria Bruni rounds out the top-5 in the #85 Porsche 963, 1m35s behind.
Dane Cameron leads the LMP2 class in the #99 Oreca, over 8-seconds ahead of the #88 Tower Oreca driven by Nicklas Nielsen.
Connor De Phillippi in the #1 BMW M4 GT3 EVO leads the GTD Pro class, by just 1.8s over the Tommy Milner #4 Chevrolet Corvette Z06.
In GTD it’s still the #13 AWA Corvette in front driven by Marvin Kirchhöfer, by five seconds over the #120 Wright Motorsports Porsche of Tom Sargent.
But the #57 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG is back in the fight after its earlier drive-through penalty.
