Third was the No. 60 Acura MSR ARX-06 of Scott Dixon, which was 12 seconds adrift.

Behind Dixon’s Acura, Will Stevens had the No. 10 WTR Cadillac fourth ahead of the No. 24 BMW M Hybrid V8 of Kevin Magnussen and the No. 85 JDC-Miller MotorSports Porsche of Pascal Wehrlein.

That left just six cars on the lead lap, with the No. 25 BMW circulating four laps off the pace, while the AXR Cadillac got going again after a lengthy repair job, 53 laps down and behind the No. 93 Meyer Shank Racing Acura.

In LMP2 The #22 United Autosports ORECA was leading with Rasmus Lindh driving. He was 7-seconds clear of Tom Dillmann in the  #43 Inter Europol 07.

Behind the lead battle, the #96 Turner BMW sits third.

The No. 5 Proton Competition Porsche went behind the wall with a left-rear suspension problem following a spin for Nico Pino, and was later declared a retirement.

The car lost control on the banking and looped into the infield. It went immediately behind the wall upon returning to the pit lane.

As that work was underway, the GTD class Cetilar Ferrari in the hands of Antonio Fuoco appeared on pit lane, grinding to a halt apparently stuck in gear and unable to get to its pit stall.

The crew took some minutes to get the car into neutral. It’s also behind the wall, tumbling down the order. The team is still investigating inside the cockpit and in the meantime have completed a full brake change.
