IndyCar race in Toronto canceled by city
Toronto |
The Honda Indy race scheduled for July 12 in Toronto, has been canceled by the city. The city of Toronto extended all cancellations of city-led and city-permitted festivals of over 250 people through July 31, it announced in a statement.
Though the statement released by the city noted that, “the resumption or cancellation of professional sporting events is not included in this decision," Honda Indy was explicitly named as an event that would be canceled as a result. IndyCar did not respond immediately to a call from IndyStar.
