Formula 1 News: New features coming in the 2025 season
The Formula 1 season literally just ended, a season that saw Max Verstappen winning the World Drivers title again (for the 4th consecutive time) and McLaren lifting the constructors’ silverware, after a fiery competition against Scuderia Ferrari.
However we are already thinking about next year because the 2025 world championship is already lit, thanks to great news coming our way.
There are certainly many new things to look forward to next season (more on this later), but what will never change is the passion of the fans, ready to fill the stands or follow their favorite from home.
For those who like to experience the race with an extra thrill and bet on the eventual winner of the Grand Prix or the championship, the operator to rely on has not changed either, because DraftKings, one of the first legal betting sites in the United States, continues to be widely chosen by users.
The platform is so popular thanks to the advantageous promotions it offers, such as those on the following page: https://www.oddschecker.com/us/bonus-bets/draftkings. The review just linked and provided by Oddschecker shows all the information one needs and delves into the major DraftKings promo codes.
As every motorsport bettor knows, DraftKings consistently offers bonuses and promotions to enhance the betting experience and provide additional value for its users.
What’s new in F1 in 2025?
Let’s focus on the main news regarding next season in Formula 1. In 2025 the championship will have 24 race weekends. There will be 6 sprint races, on a circuit never longer than 100 kms. The sprints will be held in China, Miami, Belgium, Austin, Sao Paulo and Losail.
Some drivers will change teams and race with new colors. Of course, there’s a lot of curiosity about Sir Lewis Hamilton’s Ferrari debut. He’ll take the place of Carlos Sainz Jr., who was demoted to Williams Racing for no good reason whatsoever.
The young Kimi Antonelli will race with Mercedes while another terrific youngster, the Brazilian Gabriel Bortoleto, is about to begin his career aboard a Sauber.
We have other new faces in the circus: Oliver Bearman will race with Haas, Jack Doohan (son of Mick, 5 times champion in the MotoGP circuit) is ready to try his skills with Alpine and Liam Lawson is under contract with Visa Cash App, but is probably eyeing a driver 2 position with Red Bull Racing, since Sergio Perez never met the team’s standards.
The show starts earlier in F1: the presentation soirée
The main change in the new Formula 1 schedule is probably the presentation exhibition, something we have never seen in the illustrious history of the championship. All the 10 teams competing in the circus will show their new cars together, on the evening of the 18th of February. The soirée will be held in London, at the O2 Arena. Racers, team principals and main sponsors will meet together in a brand-new event.
We are used to teams unveiling their cars in autonomous exhibitions, often reserved to the media and a few people, typically close to the team. The launch this year would be totally different.
Formula 1 celebrates 75 years of history and wanted to do something special. The idea was to launch the season bringing everyone involved together (fans included, of course) for a memorable night. This collective preview is designed to mix spectacle and tradition, kicking off the season with a thrill and capturing the audience a month before the actual beginning of the championship.
The visual aspect, of course, will prevail over the sporting one. Teams won’t probably bring all their technical news to London, in order to keep their cards close to their chest.
However, the fans will love seeing all their favorite drivers and cars in one place. The event is scheduled only for this year. Should it be successful, we may very well see it again in the near future.
