The Board of Directors of Elkhart Lake’s Road America Inc. has announced that current Chairman of the Board, Ron Pace, will resign from his current position at the end of 2024 and will be replaced by Louie Gentine.
To ensure a seamless transition, the Board has unanimously appointed Gentine as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Elkhart Lake’s Road America Inc. Gentine will serve as Chairman-Elect until officially assuming the role on January 1, 2025. Ron Pace will continue to support the organization as a Board member and Vice President.
Gentine, a longtime supporter of Road America and an experienced business leader, brings a wealth of expertise to his new role. Gentine’s extensive experience includes leadership roles across marketing, production, and procurement, where he has driven strategic initiatives and operational excellence. His tenure at Sargento has been marked by significant achievements, including implementing a three-year strategic planning process and the successful expansion of the company’s business units: Consumer Products and Food Service & Ingredients.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Gentine is deeply committed to philanthropy and community involvement. He serves on the boards of various organizations, including the International Dairy Foods Association, Lakeside Foods, and a longstanding tenure at Road America, among others. His dedication to community partnerships and initiatives aligns closely with Road America’s mission to deliver exceptional experiences for motorsports enthusiasts.
“I am honored to take on this new role and continue the incredible legacy of leadership at Road America,” said Gentine. “Ron has set an extraordinary example, and I look forward to building upon the strong foundation he has established while working alongside the Board to shape an exciting future for this iconic venue.”
As Road America looks ahead to 2025 and beyond, the organization remains steadfast in its commitment to delivering world-class motorsports events and fostering meaningful connections with fans and the local community.
“On behalf of the entire Road America staff, we want to extend our appreciation to Ron for his many years of guidance and direction,” said Mike Kertscher, President and General Manager of Road America. “Road America is a family, and we will continue to prosper based on the vision, perspective, and work ethic that Ron has instilled in all of us. Additionally, we are excited to have Louie as Chairman of the Board and ready for what the future holds under his leadership.”
