Detroit Grand Prix Attendance Likely Dipped Below 100,000

IndyCar headed to Michigan over the weekend for the 30th edition of the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix, and race Chair Bud Denker said that attendance was "expected to be down from 105,000 last year to 95,000 this year."
However, Denker was "pleased with adjustments made by the race staff, such as evacuating fans in 45 minutes because of inclement weather Saturday."
This year, paddock access was made available for "all ticket-holders," one of "several enhancements" at Belle Isle. DETROIT FREE PRESS,
