Formula 1 News: Norris tops practice 2 for the 2024 Abu Dhabi GP
McLaren driver Lando Norris turned a lap of 1m23.517s to top the 2nd practice for the 2024 Abu Dhabi GP at the Yas Marina circuit.

On a track was still rubbering in and more time is to come on Saturday, Norris was 0.234s faster than his McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri as McLaren looks to lock up the 2024 Constructors’ Championship over Ferrari this weekend.
Nico Hulkenberg was third for Haas, 0.462s behind Norris.
Carlos Sainz Jr. was the fastest Ferrari driver, 0.582s behind Norris’ McLaren.
Lewis Hamilton rounded out the top-5 for Mercedes, 0.602s behind Norris while his teammate Russell focussed on race runs in 13th.
Charles Leclerc, who topped opening practice, was 6th quick.
The Red Bulls of Sergio Perez (14th) and Max Verstappen (17th) were well down the order, both struggling to fire up their Pirelli tires to the correct temperature.
Most drivers swapped back to the mediums after their quick laps, to complete their higher fuel runs on the C4 rubber.
Ferrari and McLaren lead the way in Abu Dhabi, as the constructors’ battle gets even tastier.
