IndyCar to implement Standing Starts in 2022

While the driver may get too much wheelspin, or dump the clutch too quickly, thereby bogging down the internal combustion engine, the electric motor should get the car moving forward, which means, in the event the drivers stalls the internal combustion engine, he can pop the clutch while the car is moving forward by the electric motor, and restart the internal combustion engine.
