MotoGP News: Jorge Martin wins pole at Phillip Island

Pramac Ducati’s Jorge Martin destroyed his opposition on Saturday to claim pole position for the Australian Grand Prix at Phillip Island.

Martin, the world championship leader was almost six tenths clear of Gresini Ducati’s Marc Marquez, while his closest title chaser Francesco Bagnaia was only fifth.

The eight-time World Champion has claimed a prime spot on the grid, starting alongside Maverick Viñales after the #12 set a relentless pace at the start of Q2, which gifted Viñales a strong front row start.
