Formula 1 News: Leclerc tops Practice 1 for 2024 Singapore GP
Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc turned a lap of 1m31.763s in his #16 Ferrari to top opening practice for the 2024 Singapore GP around Marina Bay.

McLaren’s Lando Norris was a close 2nd in his #4 McLaren, 0.076s behind Leclerc.
Carlos Sainz Jr. was third in the #55 Ferrari, 0.189s behind his teammate Leclerc.
Max Verstappen, who has struggled around this track in the past, was 4th in his #1 Red Bull, 0.334s behind Leclerc.
Yuki Tsunoda rounded out the top-5 for the Visa Cash App team, 0.500s behind Leclerc.
Sergio Perez was complaining about turning right in his Red Bull, not an ideal situation for him.
Oscar Piastri got very few laps in as his McLaren team made precautionary fixes after wheel nut issues arose before practice started.
Piastri made the only meaningful contact with the barriers, but that was only a kiss.
Daniel Ricciardo, driving for his job, was a respectable 7th, but slower than his RB teammate Tsunoda.
