IndyCar: Final Practice Crash for Polesitter Kirkwood in Nashville
After a lengthy delay for the final practice session of the day for the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, polesitter Kyle Kirkwood reported a mechanical issue and made contact with the SAFER Barrier in Turn 4, ending the evening shortened session. Tonight will be a long night for his Andretti Global team while they repair his car for tomorrow’s race.

Scott Dixon, a three-time winner at this track, turned the fastest laps of the 13-minute session.  The Kiwi’s speed was 195.621 mph.
David Malukas was second fastest, with a speed of 194.087mph.
Colton Herta was third fastest, with a speed of 193.879 mph.
Romain Grosjean was fourth fastest with a speed of 193.539 mph.
Pato O’Ward rounded out the top five with a speed of 193.533 mph.
There is no warm-up session planned for the series on Sunday morning.
The NTT INDYCAR SERIES race is scheduled to start at 2:30 pm CT.
