NASCAR Rumor: Reported 2025 NASCAR Cup Schedule leaked
As NASCAR Cup Series TV ratings continue to drop, the France Family is trying many new venues to stem the severe bleeding. The 2025 NASCAR Cup Series is set to witness dramatic changes according to the schedule which has been reported by The Athletic.
Ben Kennedy, NASCAR’s executive vice president, commented during the announcement of the new event, as previously reported:
“This has been on our radar for a long time. We’ve been talking about the continued iteration of our schedule, right? You can go back a few years, went to new markets like Nashville and Austin, Texas.
“We went to the Coliseum for the Clash [and failed miserable). … We went to our first street race in downtown Chicago (and crowds are diminishing), and this is going to be another first for us in a lot of ways. This is going to be certainly a monumental event for us, the first time we’re going south of the border.”
The season opener Clash, traditionally held at the LA Coliseum, will return to its roots in the East. Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, North Carolina as the France Family tries gimmick after gimmick to raise TV ratings.
