NASCAR News: Cole Custer, wife Kari welcome baby boy

Soon to be NASCAR Cup Series driver Cole Custer is officially a new father. On Sunday, Custer went to X to announce the birth of his first child with his wife Kari.

“Callahan Brian… Very thankful to welcome a healthy baby boy and my wife Kari was amazing through the whole process,” Cole wrote. “It’s been a great Olympic Break!”

According to TobyChristie.com, Custer met his wife through a mutual friend in 2019. The couple began dating and were married in January 2023. Custer and Kari announced they were expecting their first child in February.

It’s been an exciting few weeks for Custer, the defending Xfinity Series champion. Last month, Custer won his first race of the year with a P1 finish at Pocono. He followed that up with a P2 finish at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He is in first place in the Xfinity Series standings with 761 points. So far this year, he has 16 top-10 finishes and nine top-five finishes with his one victory.

Once the 2024 season, ends Custer will be getting ready to return to the Cup Series. On July 20, the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series Rookie of the Year winner announced he will drive the No. 41 Ford for Haas Factory Team.
