F1 News: Norris leads McLaren 1-2 in 2nd British GP Practice
McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri dominated 2nd practice for the British GP at Silverstone Friday afternoon.

While some drivers never did a low-fuel run, Norris put up a lap of 1m26.549s to beat his teammate by 0.331s – a big gap.
Norris also topped Practice 1.
Sergio Perez was third quick for Red Bull, 0.434s behind Norris – a more promising time than he has had of late.
Nico Hulkenbern was with fourth in the upgraded Haas, 0.441 behind.
Charles Leclerc rounded out the top-5 for Ferrari, 0.601s behind Norris.
Sandbagging Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen were 6th and 7th for Mercedes and Red Bull respectively.
How do we know Verstappen was sandbagging? There is no way he is 1/4 second slower than his teammate Perez.
Rain hit the Silverstone circuit a few minutes before the session ended.
Well that’s built up the excitement for tomorrow – there’s every chance we could have another real battle for pole once we get to qualifying. Lando Norris’s weekend has got off to the best possible start today, but Red Bull will definitely have more to show.
There’s also plenty more questions we will hope to get answers to. Where are Mercedes and Ferrari relative to those top two teams? Are Aston Martin back on form? Is RB’s ‘hybrid’ package working? Is Hulkenberg’s P4 an indication Haas could go well here? That’s just some of them.
