IndyCar: Sunday Morning Report from WeatherTech Laguna Seca
Good morning from the iconic Laguna Seca Raceway, the stage for the eighth 2024 NTT INDYCAR SERIES race. The weather is on our side, with race time temperatures in the mid-60s and plenty of sunshine. It’s a perfect setting for a thrilling race.
Last year’s race was a crazy one, with 35 out of 95 laps under yellow flags. It was the season-ending race, and the drivers were pushing their limits, driving like there was no tomorrow. Who knows what this year’s race will bring?
Kyle Kirkwood, the No 27 AutoNation Honda driver, will start second today. The American was asked what tires would be favored this year. 0
“We don’t really know yet I don’t think. I feel like they’re both good tires. The primaries last forever. We are doing full stints on them within a short range. The alternates, usually wherever you can go and do a second run and go just as quick as your first run, that means that they are pretty good, as well.”
“I don’t think we have a preference at this moment, but we’ll learn more in the Sunday warm-up.”
The schedule for today is in Pacific Time
IndyCar Warm-Up Noon
Green Flag 3:30 pm
The race will be broadcast on USA Network starting at 3 pm.
