IndyCar: Colton Herta tops Practice 2 at WeatherTech Raceway

Colton Herta topped Practice 2 today with a lap of 1m08.2300s. The Andretti Global w/Curb Agajanian driver has won two poles and two races from the pole at this track in 2019 and 2021.

Will Power was second fastest with a time of 1m08.4261 in his Team Penske No 12 Verizon Chevrolet.

Alex Palou was third fastest with a lap of 1m08.4387s in his Ganassi Racing No 10 DHL Honda.

Scott McLaughlin was fourth fastest with his lap of 1m08.4602s.

Arrow McLaren’s Pato O’Ward took the fifth-fastest spot with 1m08.4679s.

Last year’s race winner, Scott Dixon, was the sixth fastest with a time of 1m08.5235s.

In the session, three rad flags were caused by drivers sliding off the track. Rookie Christian Rasmussen was responsible for the first one. Sting Ray Robb was the second one 20 minutes into the session. Kyffin Simpson cause the final one with 12 minutes left in the session. All drivers and cars are fine.
