F1 News: Norris tops messy rain-hit FP1 for Canadian GP
Rain and hail hit the newly repaved Montreal Circuit before Practice 1 that caused a delay of practice for the Canadian GP. Just at the end of the session, McLaren’s Lando Norris on soft slick tires turned a lap of 1m24.435s to go fastest

Norris topped the two Ferrari drivers of Carlos Sainz Jr. and Charles Leclerc by 0.328s and 0.871s respectively on a drying track.
Lewis Hamilton’s Mercedes and Max Verstappen’s Red Bull rounded out the top-5, but traffic impacted both of their fast laps.
Several drivers banged the concrete walls and others slid off the track with Zhou Guanyu the worse off when he slapped the wall with his left rear and broke the suspension on his Kick Sauber.
