IndyCar News: Today’s Indy 500 Qualifying Order

Thirty-four drivers will try to qualify for 33 spots in the May 26 Indianapolis 500 (Indy 500) starting Saturday. Andretti Honda driver Kyle Kirkwood drew the coveted #1 qualifying spot when the track is the coolest.

However, Indy 500 qualifying is held over 2 days so drawing the #1 spot is not that critical.  The qualifying rules allow you to try 100 times if you mess up the first 99 tries.

I am being sarcastic, but that is how ludicrous the current procedures are.
