Slated to start at 10:00am ET, the track is too wet for any running, and if any does occur today, it won’t be until mid-afternoon as showers are expected to continue until 1:00pm. Then the track has to be dried.

One complaint about oval track racing is how boring it is when it rains – the fans see nothing. At least on road and street circuits, rain tires are strapped on, and the paying customer gets their monies worth.
Europeans tried oval racing in the early days of racing and then abandoned it – too dangerous, too dizzying, and when it rains, it’s over.
Except for the Indy 500, IndyCar races on ovals are complete financial failures unless you force people who like concerts to buy a race ticket to see a top musical artist.
