F1 News: Netflix Series About Ayrton Senna Debuts

Netflix has released the first teaser and images for Senna , the limited series based on the life of famed Formula 1 driver Ayrton Senna.

The series, which stars Gabriel Leone in the titular role, is set to have six episodes and will follow Senna’s “ journey through triumph, disappointment, joy, and sorrow, unveiling his personality and personal relationships.”

The show’s starting point is set to be the beginning of Senna’s career when he moved to England to compete in F1, and it’s set to follow from there to the accident that killed him in Imola, Italy, during the San Marino Grand Prix on May 1st of 1994.

In the teaser we see Ayrton preparing for a race, taping his hands, and putting on his helmet, with the show also giving us a glimpse at the kind of attention that was focused on him, as we can see a sea of cameras seemingly focus on the driver. Then Senna starts the race, and as he drives we see flashbacks to his childhood and his dreams of one day being the champion.
