Mercedes F1 Team Trackside Engineering Director Andrew Shovlin confirms that the W15’s set up window is still very weather dependent in this 2024 Japanese GP Debrief.

“What we found is we can get [the car] in a window but if the wind changes, the track-temp changes it quickly falls out of it and that was leading to poor performance in racing and qualifying.”
