Formula 1 News: Bearman to replace ill Sainz in Saudi Arabian GP
Carlos Sainz Jr. has been diagnosed with appendicitis and will require surgery, meaning Oliver Bearman gets the big F1 break he has been waiting for.
As from FP3 and for the rest of this weekend, he will be replaced by reserve driver Oliver Bearman.
Bearman will therefore take no further part in this round of the F2 Championship despite winning the pole position yesterday.
The Ferrari family wished Carlos a speedy recovery.
Sainz had been complaining he was not feeling well this weekend and his condition worsened overnight.
