IndyCar News: Hy-Vee finalizes Iowa weekend concerts
Two more country music acts (concerts) will take the stage during the Hy-Vee INDYCAR Race Weekend at the Iowa Speedway in Newton this summer.
Hy-Vee announced Thursday morning that Eric Church and Kelsea Ballerini will join the lineup for the race weekend, July 12-14, 2024. Concerts from Luke Combs and Post Malone have already been announced for the event.
On Saturday, July 13, Luke Combs will kick off the performances with a concert before the race and Eric Church will take the stage after the race. Each music act will last about 90 minutes.
Both music acts on Sunday, July 14 are after the race with Kelsea Ballerini performing for an hour and then Post Malone will close out the weekend with a 90-minute concert.
The headlining music acts will take place at the trackside Hy-Vee Stage in front of the grandstand.
The music acts are included in the ticket price for the races, but in reality it’s more like ‘buy a concert ticket and get a free race ticket’ because the grandstands would be near empty if not for the concerts Hy-Vee brings in that saved this race from previous extinction.
