IndyCar News: Herta tops Dixon on Day 2 testing at Homestead

Andretti IndyCar w/Curb driver Colton Herta turned the fastest lap on Day 2 of preseason testing on the Homestead Miami Roval.

Herta’s lap of 1m11.183s driving Marco Andretti’s #98 Honda was 0.222s faster than the #9 Honda powered Chip Ganassi car of veteran Scott Dixon.

Like Monday, IndyCar drivers had to save tires because only 3 sets were available for the test.

Pato O’Ward was the fastest Chevy IndyCar driver, 0.317s behind in his #5 Arrow McLaren Chevy.

Tom Blomqvist was 4th quick in the #60 Meyer Shank Racing Honda, 0.425s behind Herta.

Rounding out the top-5 was Agustin Canapino in the #78 Juncos Hollinger Chevy, 0.4786 behind.
