IndyCar News: 2024 Detroit GP tickets now on sale

Tickets for the 2024 Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix IndyCar race presented by Lear went on sale yesterday. They make a great Christmas gift.

Following a record-setting return of the race to the streets of downtown Detroit last summer, the three-day festival of speed, sound and family fun will wave the green flag on summertime in the Motor City, May 31-June 2, 2024. With new viewing options and entertainment packages, fans can purchase tickets to next summer’s Grand Prix beginning at 8 a.m. ET Monday, Dec. 11 at www.DetroitGP.com/Tickets or through the event’s Ticket Hotline at 866-464-PRIX (7749).

Both single-day and multi-day ticket options will be available for purchase, with prices starting at just $20 Friday, $45 Saturday and $55 Sunday. All Grand Prix ticketholders will also have access to the Fifth Third Bank Paddock – known as the locker room of motorsports and featuring the garage area for the teams and drivers competing in the event – to get an up-close view of all the action.

“There was a special energy and excitement throughout the city this year as we brought the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear back to the streets of downtown Detroit for the first time since the early 90s,” said Michael Montri, president of the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear. “We can’t wait to build off that momentum in 2024 with some great viewing options for our fans. We encourage everyone to get their tickets early while the best seats are still available and, of course, Grand Prix tickets make great gift ideas and stocking stuffers for the holidays.”

In addition to reserved seating in one of the seven grandstands located around the 1.7-mile downtown street circuit that incorporates some of Detroit’s most popular downtown landmarks, next summer’s Grand Prix will also offer viewing from a unique perspective.

Fans can purchase general admission tickets to experience the excitement from one of the three rooftop deck viewing areas on top of Center Garage, Franklin Street Garage and Port Atwater Garage. Each rooftop viewing area will offer unique views of the Detroit skyline along with the on-track action below and a fun atmosphere all weekend long. Fans will have access to all three viewing decks with the purchase of a Rooftop ticket.

Tailgating ticket packages will also be new to the race weekend in 2024. Fans can purchase a tailgate pass for Franklin Garage, overlooking the unique two-sided Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Pit Lane. The tailgate package includes a special parking pass for each vehicle, along with four GA tickets that provide guests the opportunity to view the action from their tailgating spot and access the three Rooftop locations and the Paddock area.
