IndyCar Expected To Release ’20 Schedule this week

The powerful IndyCars will race on the Mickey Mouse 3/4-mile Richmond oval

The '20 NTT IndyCar Series schedule will be released later this week, according to sources.

IndyCar is holding its penultimate event on the '19 schedule on Sunday at Portland Int’l Raceway, and the calendar for next year is expected to come out around this weekend.

The major switch for next season is expected to be Richmond Raceway joining the schedule and Pocono Raceway being dropped.

That would keep the schedule at 17 races with the same amount of oval tracks, though Pocono is a superspeedway while Richmond is a short track. IndyCar, Pocono and Richmond all had no comment. Adam Stern/SBD
