NASCAR: Homestead post-race penalties announced

NASCAR has issued a variety of penalties across all three series following last weekend’s races at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Cup Series
#51-Ryan Newman (pictured above) – Violation of  Sections 8.3.2 A; 14.2.1.1 A & F: Driver Responsibilities & Driver Protective Clothing/Equipment.
Ryan Newman has been fined $10,000.

Xfinity Series

No. 74-Dawson Cram – Safety Sections 8.8.10.4 C: Tires and Wheels. Lug nut(s) not properly installed.
Crew members (Taylor Collier and Dale Hollifield) have been suspended from the NASCAR Xfinity Series for the next two events, through Phoenix.

No. 21-Austin Hill – Safety Sections 8.8.10.4a: Tires and Wheels. Lug nut(s) not properly installed.
Crew chief (Charles Street) has been fined $10,000 and suspended from the next NASCAR Xfinity Series event.

No. 19-Joe Graf, Jr. – Safety Sections 8.8.10.4a: Tires and Wheels. Lug nut(s) not properly installed. Crew chief (Jason Ratcliff) has been fined $5,000.

Craftsman Truck Series

No. 98-Ty Majeski – L1 Sections 14.14.1.C: Front Suspension.
Team and driver have been assessed with the loss of 10 points.

No. 15- Tanner Gray – Safety Sections 8.8.10.4a: Tires and Wheels. Note: Lug nut(s) not properly installed.
Crew chief (Jerame Donley) has been fined $2,500.

Homestead No. 17 Safety Sections 8.8.10.4a: Tires and Wheels Note: Lug nut(s) not properly installed. Crew chief (Jacob Hampton) has been fined $2,500.
