NASCAR: Two JGR crew members suspended after Las Vegas
NASCAR has suspended two crew members from the Joe Gibbs Racing No. 54 team after the right front wheel came off Ty Gibbs’s Toyota last Sunday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
His tire blew, caused by the loose wheel, which then separated from the car on lap 218 of 267 of the South Point 400 NASCAR Cup race.
Jackman Braxton Brannon and front tire changer Jackson Gibbs have been suspended for the next races at Homestead-Miami Speedway (Oct. 22) and Martinsville Speedway (Oct. 29).
There is an automatic two-race suspension for the loss of a wheel on the racetrack during an event.
Gibbs finished the race at Las Vegas in the 34th position.
