TV News: Weekend USA Motorsports TV Ratings

TV Ratings for motorsports events broadcast in the USA for NASCAR in Charlotte on the Roval and F1 in Qatar on the Lusail Circuit.

TV Rating Analysis

NASCAR

NBC drew 2.28 million viewers and a TV rating of 1.30 for the Charlotte NASCAR Roval Cup race, down 4.60% from 2022, also on NBC.  The rating was down 10.96%

NBC drew 1.121 million viewers and a TV rating of 0.70 for the Charlotte NASCAR Roval Xfinity race, down 10.39% from 2022, also on NBC.  The rating was down 12.50%

For both NASCAR races, only 16% of the viewers tuned in were in the all-important 18-49 year old age group, a horrible percent especially compared to F1.

Formula 1

ESPN drew 824,000 viewers and a TV rating of 0.45 for the Qatar GP, down 2.49% from 2021 on ESPN2 when the race was last run. The TV rating was down 2.17%

41% of the viewer tuned in were in the all-important 18-49 year old age group an excellent result
