IndyCar to strip away P2P defense option

What took so long IndyCar?

Word on the street is that IndyCar will change the way Push-To-Pass (P2P) works for 2020.

While it will keep all of its offensive qualities, the pit crews of opposing teams will no longer be able to see in real time when another driver is using P2P. Today, they radio their driver so they can use their own P2P to prevent being passed.

It defeated the real purpose of P2P – to create more passing, so if the rumor is true – bravo for IndyCar for finally fixing their mistake. What took you so long?
