Kimball and Kellett to AJ Foyt Racing (Update)

UPDATE This rumor is upgraded to 'fact' with today's announcement that Sebastien Bourdais and Kellett will share the #14 Foyt entry with Tony Kanaan.

Kimball was already signed to run the #4 full-time.

12/13/19 Charlie Kimball has been rumored to end up at A.J. Foyt Enterprises’ in a full-time role after driving part-time for Carlin in 2019.

Now, however, the 34-year-old Camarillo, California native has been rumored to return to full-time competition in the 2020 season.

RACER’s Marshall Pruett has reported that Kimball could end up at A.J. Foyt Enterprises in 2020, provided his quest to bring enough funding to the table proves successful.

Perhaps most notably, he reported that Kimball would likely be the team’s only full-time driver (in the #4) as no one is certain whether Tony Kanaan will drive full-time. More sponsorship is needed and Dalton Kellett, from Toronto, and an Indy Lights regular with some money could share the seat with Kanaan.
