IndyCar: Power tops Wednesday test at Road America (Update)

Scott McLaughlin, Power’s Penske teammate, was really flying, perhaps more than the fastest on the day, Power.

McLaughlin said, “Back is fine. Very lucky.

“Finished the day off, we had a great day. But I know INDYCAR officials are already making sure that’s gone [Speed Bump] for race weekend!”

Will Power led a Team Penske 1-2 in IndyCar testing at Road America Wednesday ahead of the NTT IndyCar race there later this month.

Power turned a high of 70 laps in his #12 Chevy and turned a fast lap of 1m41.52s to beat teammate Josef Newgarden by 0.19s

Callum Ilott was third for Juncos Hollinger Racing, 0.23s behind.

Scott McLaughlin was 4th in the third Penske Chevy and Marcus Armstrong rounded out the top-5 for Chip Ganassi Racing.
