F1: In Verstappen we are watching greatness
–by Mark Cipolloni–
We are witnessing the maturing of perhaps the greatest F1 driver of all time in Max Verstappen.
Not only is he blazingly fast in the wet and the dry, he is consistent, he saves his tires, his race strategy is usually perfect, and he seldom brings the car home damaged unless Lewis Hamilton hits him.
Let’s examine his records and what Dr. Helmut Marko says.
Helmut Marko on whether Max Verstappen is the most complete driver in F1:
“I respond with increasing confidence, yes. That can be seen in his performance. It’s evident in his attitude.
“There is the natural speed he has, [and] now he has further developed and almost become a tire whisperer.
“He has now also developed the ability to read a race better, or almost optimally. He refrains from engaging in any conflicts or duels unnecessarily. He is less aggressive, especially when it’s not necessary. And the overall package is better and keeps getting better.
“For Max, motorsport is absolutely the number one priority in his life. He dedicates everything to it.” Marko concluded.
We are watching greatness!
