F1: Miami GP track produces some of the best action on the entire F1 calendar

–by Mark Cipolloni–

If you hear any negative remarks about the Miami GP circuit being bad because it was built in the large Miami Garden parking lots, know that it is probably coming from some European fans who are pissed off that the USA now has three F1 races.

The Miami Grand Prix delivered the race with the most number of overtakes this season!

All races for comparison:

Bahrain : 37
Saudi Arabia : 36
Australia : 29
Azerbaijan : 23 (+ 20 in Sprint)
Miami : 60 (up from 52 last year)

Miami delivered this with 0 red flags and 0 Safety Car periods.  If those occurred, the number of passes would have been even higher.

Make no mistake about it, as F1 races go, the Miami GP had it all – a sold out crowd, all the pomp and circumstance one could imagine, passes throughout the field all race long, and we did not know who the winner was going to be until the last 5 laps or so.
