NASCAR
FS1 earned a 1.35 rating and 2.352 million viewers for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Kansas, down 5.6% in rating, but up 0.6% in viewership from last year’s Kansas race that got a 1.43 rating/2.337 million viewers.
NASCAR beat F1 in total viewers Sunday, while F1 beat NASCAR in the 18-49 all-important age group.
Formula 1
Excluding the pre-race show, ABC earned a 1.07 rating/1.960 million viewers, down 24.62% from 2022. That is the biggest drop year-to-year we have seen for an F1 race, perhaps because it was up against the was up against Boston vs. Philadelphia NBA playoff game that pulled 5.1 million viewers.
The race viewership peaked at 2.2 million viewers between 4:45-5:00pm. Although down, it was the second largest live F1 US TV audience on record. So down, but still larger than every other F1 race except one.
