Rumor: F1 could have 10 Sprint Race Weekends in 2024

According to a rumor put out by the Spanish version of motorsport.com, Liberty Media is considering 10 Sprint Race weekends for 2024.

According to behind the scenes chatter in the Miami GP paddock, the objective is to increase the number of sprint tests from 6 to 10, with a format similar to the one used at the Grand Prix of Azerbaijan last weekend.

F1 will wait until later in the season to make the determination based on TV viewership for the Sprint Races.

Rumor also has it that race organizers that host the sprint format have agreed to pay extra compared to those that host the traditional program because they can sell more tickets for the Saturday.

Max Verstappen will not be happy.
