TV Rating Analysis

FOX got a 2.58 rating and 4.554 million viewers for Sunday’s Geico 500 NASCAR Cup Race at Talladega, down 2.73% in viewers and down 1.15% in rating from the reported 2.61 rating/4.682M viewers last year also on FOX.  The race peaked at 5.847 million viewers from 6:45 to 7:00pm ET

FS1 got a 0.78 rating and 1.309 million viewers for the Saturday Xfinity race at Talladega, down 36.49% in viewers and down 39.53% in rating from last year’s race that drew a 1.29 rating and 2.061 million viewers on FOX.

Both races saw only 17% of the viewers tuned in that were in the all-important 18-49 year old bracket. Worse yet, the Cup race lost 6.75% and the Xfinity race lost 39.17% of its 18-49 year old viewers from a year ago.
