The 2023 Belgian Grand Prix could break the event’s attendance records with an increase in the capacity of the circuit revealed as part of track as well as ingress/egress improvements.
According to the Dutch news outletĀ De Telegraaf, the spectator capacity for the Spa-Francorchamps facility has been increased by a sizeable 10,000 ahead of this year’s running of the Belgian Grand Prix, giving the circuit a capacity of 110,000 per day x 4 days.
The report claims that organizers at the Spa-Francorchamps facility are hoping to draw in 400,000 fans for the 2023 running of the Belgian Grand Prix.
This year’s Belgian Grand Prix is the last race before the summer break, on July 30th. There will also be a sprint race on Saturday. Last year’s edition was sold out, thanks in large part to the many Dutch Max Verstappen fans who have been travelling to the south for years.
