Francesco Bagnaia

MotoGP: Bagnaia doubles up at Portimao

Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaia completed the MotoGP Portuguese Grand Prix double as he beat Maverick Vinales in the main race on Sunday, while Marc Marquez crashed out when he and Jorge Martin made contact battling for the lead.

The factory Ducati rider got beat off the line from second by poleman Marc Marquez and 3rd place start Pramac’s Jorge Martin.

But when Marquez made contact with Martin and crashed into Miguel Oliveira at Turn 3 on lap three of 25, Bagnaia was home free.

Marquez will undergo checks in hospital in Barcelona on a possible fracture to his right hand following the accident.
